The Best in Stand Up: Mandy Knight, at Comedy Store in London on Thursday 6 December 2018 at 19:30 hours. Standup shows-london.

Multi-award winning comic and writer Mandy Knight is outstanding in the field of stand-up, not just for wowing both domestic and international audiences, not for being the first female to regularly compere Jongleurs and The Comedy Store UK and not for standing out in a male dominated entertainment medium but because after twenty-five years of working every world comedy circuit, from Sidney to Sidmouth, she is still as fresh and relevant as the day she stepped onto the stage.  Nobody is safe from her rapier wit.    "A stream of priceless one-liners..." -   The Guardian      " A virtuoso comedienne... " - The Independent

Paul Thorne is one of Britain’s most established and sought-after stand-ups. As well as performing at all of the UK’s major comedy venues and festivals he can be seen weekly at London’s Comedy Store as a member of The Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material based on the week’s news. In addition to performing all over Europe Paul has taken his unique brand of comedy as far afield as Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada, Singapore, China and Japan and has toured extensively with Jack Dee, Lee Hurst and Rory Bremner.

Zoe’s trademark high energy, brilliantly observed routines and sharply written material has left her with an ever-growing fan base. Last year she won both the Comedian’s Comedian Award and Chortle Best Club Comic. As well as being a series regular on  Mock The Week  (BBC 2) and  The Wright Stuff  (Channel 5), Zoe’s extensive TV credits include Room 101  (BBC 1), Dara O’Briain’s Go 8-Bit (Dave),  Channel 4’s Comedy Gala ,  Live At The Apollo  (BBC 2),  The John Bishop Show  (BBC 1),  Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled  (Dave) ,   Pointless Celebrities  (BBC 1) and winner of  Celebrity Mastermind  (BBC 1). Radio credits include  The Frank Skinner Show  (Absolute),  The News Quiz , Just a Minute ,  The Unbelievable Truth ,  The Now Show , It’s Not What You Know   and  The Rest is History   (BBC Radio 4) . In 2016 Zoe Lyons returned to the Edinburgh Festival with her brand new show Little Misfit  at the Gilded Balloon, and she is now touring this show around the UK. Zoe’s debut hour at the Edinburgh Festival gained her a nomination for the Perrier Award, and she has hosted the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny Final in Edinburgh for the last four years. Zoe is also a talented actress, having starred in  Outings  at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014, which was later transferred to the St James Theatre in London. "Lyons has what it takes to delight any crowd" - The Guardian

Multi award-winning comedian Nathan Caton has been active on the UK comedy circuit since the tender age of 19. He excels in combining both personal, confessional material with up-to-date social and political anecdotes. This has won him numerous credits and plaudits over the years and has made him one of the hottest rising young stars on the circuit.

He started comedy while studying architecture at University and within his first full year of gigging he had built up a solid reputation having performed at the Edinburgh Festival, finishing as a runner-up in the Amused Moose Comedy Search and winning the award for Chortle Student Comic of the Year.

In 2006 he continued gigging and was rewarded with a nomination for Best Newcomer, at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards, and made his first TV appearances on Richard Hammond’s 5 o’clock show and Little Miss Joycelyn, amongst other radio work.

In 2007 Caton appeared on ITV2’s Comedy Cuts, returned to the Edinburgh Festival to perform in a two-man show, and in October 2007 he got his biggest break when his debut comedy pilot The Nathan Caton Show aired on Paramount Television. Caton wrote and starred in the 30-minute show where he guised as different comedy characters and this earned him a Hotshot award from Broadcast magazine for his writing.

Caton’s first Edinburgh show in 2009 entitled Can’t Tell Me Nothin’ got him rave reviews from critics including The Guardian, EdFest and Three Weeks and earned him guest writing spots with BBC Radio.

"Laidback, on-the-nose material, chopping down fools of all colours, both in day-to-day life and in the media" - The Guardian

The Noise Next Door are one of the UK’s best comedy-improv troupes. They frequently headline at all the major clubs up and down the country and have sold out at the Edinburgh Festival for the last three consecutive years, leaving audiences in awe of their lightning-quick wit and breath-taking comedic talents. They have been performing their own distinctive brand of off-the-cuff comedy since they met at university. With absolutely no script, they have an uncanny knack of transforming audience suggestions into fantastically funny scenes and songs in the blink of an eye with a perfect blend of ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories, and explosive physicality. Unstoppably funny and uniquely talented, The Noise Next Door are well on their way to becoming comedy’s next big thing with their infectious and feel good brand of humour. "Hilarious... A superior kind of chaos" - The Daily Telegraph

MC Mandy Knight, Paul Thorne, Zoe Lyons, Nathan Caton and The Noise Next Door plus open spots.
