Book tickets This playfully conceived symposium invites artists and academics to expand on the themes of Matthias Sperling’s Now That We Know, a science-fiction performance-lecture.
What if there was such a thing as an Institute of Neurochoreography? And what if this event was the first 'official’ gathering for anyone interested in contributing to and shaping its activities? This fictional institute plays a part in the imagined future described in Now That We Know, where artists and scientists collaborate to investigate the relationship between body and mind.
Guest speakers include the Berlin-based Singaporean Dance Doctor Choy Ka Fai, dancer and choreographer Colette Sadler and Dr Guido Orgs, a Lecturer in Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London.
This symposium accompanies the performances of Now That We Know in the Lilian Baylis Studio on 1 & 2 November. A combined ticket offer is available for the symposium and performance together, buy tickets to both for p30.
The symposium is supported by Midlands4Cities, Sadler’s Wells, Dance4 and Siobhan Davies Dance. You might also like Matthias Sperling Now That We Know
