Classical music Chamber & Recital Nelly Akopian-Tamarina Plays the German Romantics From the grand tradition of the Russian piano school, the connoisseur’s pianist plays works including Schumann’s turbulent Kreisleriana and Brahms’ Op.76.

Born in Moscow, Nelly Akopian-Tamarina was one of the last students of the legendary Alexander Goldenweiser. She carries on an illustrious line of Russian Romanticism going back to Anton Rubinstein and Liszt.

Former soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonie Akopian-Tamarina has won multiple awards, including the Robert Schumann Prize. She now makes a triumphant return to Queen Elizabeth Hall, where she made her London debut in 1983.
